Shady Spring is pleased to offer Pet Relocation to our list of premier services. We are registered with the USDA as a Class H Intermediate Handler, are an approved Indirect Air Carrier with the TSA, and have been a member of IPATA since 1993. We strictly adhere to the Animal Welfare Act. We specialize in both domestic and international relocation and will handle all of the details associated with travel from start to finish! 

 

Remember that your pet's safety and well being is paramount when relocating, so we will work closely with you to achieve the best itinerary for your pet.

 As a professional pet relocation service, Shady Spring can provide or arrange for the  following services:
 

The arrangement of logistics at each destination: when, where, how, who and how much.
   

The pick up and delivery of your pet*
     

The purchasing of the airline approved carrier or kennel for your pet*
     

Obtaining health certificates*
     

Completion of necessary domestic and international documentation
     

Work with our vast network of  IPATA relocation specialists both domestically and internationally for door to door service, import/export services and permits  
     

The proper preparation and identification of your pet(s) and their belongings for flight

UNFORESEEN CHANGES
     
Please be aware that in the event of any delays caused by weather or the airlines themselves, that additional charges to relocate your pet will apply. We can provide boarding services if delays occur. You will be kept informed of any changes as they occur.  
     
Flight Arrangement Fees:
   
This includes all arrangements, booking of your pet's flight, telephone calls/faxes and the organization of the details if more than one party is involved.
   
Domestic Relocation $200
   
International Relocation $400
   

Ground Transportation to the Mid-Atlantic Region: MD, PA, DC, VA, DE is $60 per hour

  • Reagan National Airport $220
  • Dulles International Airport $200
  • Philadelphia International Airport (including tolls) $300
   
Crate Costs can range anywhere from $50-200 depending on the size of your pet.
   
Airline Cargo Costs vary from carrier to carrier. Cost is determined by a number of things, such as size and weight of the pet, size of the crate, and destination. We cannot estimate international cargo until we have specific information from you and the airline is contacted.
   
Other Fees are specific to your move and may include import fees for international relocation, vaccinations, health certificates, postage/handling charges, other relocation agents and boarding. Relocating internationally is detail oriented and in most cases special documentation is required. These services are additional and will be charged appropriately.
